Today is Memorial Day, so I wanted to give a big thanks to the men and woman out there who have served and/or serving our country currently. Thank you for protecting us here at home <3
This recipe book was given to me to borrow from one of my students parents and in the back it listed a bunch of perfect "Holiday" recipes.
Under Memorial Day it listed this here recipe, "Flowered Pots".
I'm not entirely sure what it has to do with Memorial Day, but I thought I'd give it a go.
The original recipe calls for "chocolate shavings", which I did! But the chocolate shell syrup I thought would look really cool and it did! <3
It's a nice spring/summer idea, but logistically I don't see how it would be an easy feat for a hot summers day (Memorial Day) party. It's currently 90 degrees here and I'm melting.
Maybe if you had the ice cream in the custard bowls on a try in the freezer with the chocolate and then quickly put in the flowers you could do it, but wow. I applaud you if you can!
